Tech Recommendations Disclaimer: Prices and platforms I recommend change over time, if you want updated ideas, email me!
My favorite meeting management tool (as a professor) is currently Meetin.gs.com.
I’ve found that using this tool increased my research team’s productivity quite a bit and we have had 0 tech issues connecting virtually after we started using it to initiate our online meetings too!
Spring 2016 Update: Sadly I could no longer wrangle this in an unpaid or University sponsored capacity… or share the responsibility for meeting management using it. I had to move on to other tools, but I loved it until the end – and my students miss it too.
Fall 2020 Update: I currently use the Appointment Slots feature in Google Calendar (only available for Google Apps for Ed users) for student office hours - - I place a link in my classes. And then I use x.ai for setting up other meetings with everyone else - it handles things like juggling multiple schedules for free better than Doodle in my opinion and they've recently promised to keep their free plan forever! I've gotten tired of falling in love with a free service only for them to go paid and me be sad and lost without them, hah.
